IMPORTANT NOTE: When running Rusty's XJ Steel Fender Flares on any year model XJ Cherokee, the '84-'96 XJ Rear Lower Quarter Panel Guards Part # RA-JS78-XJ are required.

Rear quarter panels are magnets for rocks and trees; no matter how careful you try to be, it seems like there is always something threatening to dent the rear corners of your Cherokee on the trail. Rusty's Rear Lower Quarter Panel Guards offer affordable protection that will help keep those rear corners straight. Constructed of 1/8" thick steel and then powder coated black, Rusty's Lower Quarter Guards attach with stainless steel riv-nuts. Using riv-nuts distributes the force of impacts over a larger area and is stronger than regular rivets, allowing a smaller guard to work effectively. These rear quarter skids will help prevent the low-hanging body panels just behind the rear tire from damage when rolling over larger rocks. The Guards also wrap under the body, making a slider for rocks.
